Boat House Launches Year-Long “Dollar For Your Thoughts” to Benefit Heritage Foundation

Our Puckett’s family has been champin’ at the bit to tell y’all about an exciting initiative at Puckett’s Boat House that begins this Friday!

We’re launching “Puckett’s Dollar For Your Thoughts” Friday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m.–and we’re hopin’ it will generate lots of dollars for the Heritage Foundation of Franklin and Williamson County over the next 11 months.

Beginning tomorrow, our bar, grill and bait shop on East Main Street in downtown Franklin will provide each table with buckets of tape and markers, and encourage customers to stick dollar bills—with their own custom messages—to the restaurant’s low ceiling. At the end of the year, all of the money pinned will be gathered and given to the Heritage Foundation.

Mary Pearce, director of the Heritage Foundation, will tape the first dollar to the eatery’s ceiling at 5 p.m. on Friday. Both the Boat House and the non-profit organization hope that a crowd will join to see Mary stick the first monies up there!

The Boat House is launching “Puckett’s Dollar For Your Thoughts” in conjunction with the Downtown Franklin Association (DFA) coordinated evening event, “Open Your Heart.” The DFA promotion will unite 24 downtown merchants, who are supporting two-dozen local charities through a collaborative fundraising effort.

The 24 businesses will leave their doors open later and donate 15 percent of sales between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. to a non-profit organization of their choice. The Boat House will support the Heritage Foundation!
