Help Make A Difference (Beat the Heat)

Nashville's Mission H2O flyer

We’re excited to announce that Puckett’s 5th & Church is teaming up with the Nashville Rescue Mission during the month of August for Mission H2O! Starting August 1st, diners at our downtown Nashville location will have the option to add a donation to the total of their bill.

For every dollar given in the month of August, two water bottles will be donated to the Mission. AND – we’ve pledged to match all of the donations!

We all dread the sweltering heat that seems inevitable with summertime in Music City. But the Nashville homeless population dreads it more — and oftentimes, we don’t stop to think about how it effects them physically, mentally and emotionally. They are so exposed to all of the dangers that are associated with the high temps that we see during August–the hottest month of the year–like serious dehydration, sunburn and heat stroke.

To help combat this, the Mission sends out “Hot Patrol” teams when the temperature gets above 90 degrees to drive around town handing out water bottles and encouraging those without shelter to pay a visit to the Mission. The water bottles donated through Puckett’s would allow the Hot Patrol teams to increase the number of people they are able to help and positively impact this summer.

The Nashville Rescue Mission is dedicated to helping the hungry and homeless, and offers programs that focus on spiritual growth, education, employment and life-recovery. They aim to give members of the community hope for today, hope for tomorrow, and hope for eternity. We’re so honored to be the only restaurant partnering with the Mission on this project, and we can’t wait to see what happens when members of the community band together to help out fellow Nashvillians.

So, make sure to come see us in August! Grab a bite to eat, add a dollar or two to your ticket, and help us spread some #PuckettsLove to such an important organization in our community.
