Big news, y’all! With a mid-October opening date set, our company’s newest concept, Deacon’s New South, is hiring hosts, bartenders, servers and server assistants, porters, dishwashers and line cooks to round out its team. The restaurant, located just a block up from Puckett’s 5th & Church in the downtown Nashville business district, is continuing its job fair onsite today and tomorrow. Interested parties should come by Deacon’s at 401 Church Street today until 2 p.m. and tomorrow, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Deacon’s New South is located inside the historic Life and Casualty Tower and will feature a creative, chef-driven menu with a focus on high quality cuts of meat and an extensive wine selection (with a certified level two sommelier on staff, oh yeah!!) The restaurant’s exposed wood-fire grill and prominent dry-aging room will be key visual elements, in addition to the art-deco influences inspired by details in the original space, like brass countertops and railings. Trust us, it’s going to be gorgeous!
Billed as a modern and eclectic, Southern steakhouse concept, Deacon’s split-level design will also include two bars and a lounge that can be reserved for business lunches, private dinners and events.
Applicants should bring a current resume and valid photo I.D. to the job fair. For those who are unable to attend, applications can be completed online here. Follow Deacon’s on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for design updates and menu sneak peeks!
