If you haven’t heard the news, Puckett’s Chattanooga has a new General Manager: David Mclain! David takes over this role as Foster Yates makes the transition to Pigeon Forge to open our newest Puckett’s location. We’re so excited to have David filling this leadership position, and we wanted to let y’all get to know him a little better in this Q&A series:

Tell us about your history at Puckett’s & in the restaurant/hospitality industry.

David:  I have 17 years in the restaurant industry starting with fast service and ranging to fine dining. My experience includes serving, bartending, cooking, catering and managing. I have been with Puckett’s since July 5th, 2015, so I’m celebrating my four-year anniversary with the company. I helped open the Chattanooga location and loved every minute of it.

What’s the best part about your job in general?

David: My favorite part of my job is getting to interact with new people every day, and the work family we have built here at A. Marshall Hospitality.

What will be the biggest challenge of your new role?

David: The biggest challenge will be unlocking the best way to lead my team.

What are you most looking forward to with your new role?

David: I am looking forward to really building an environment where everyone feels welcome, and Puckett’s feels like home when it comes to where people are looking to dine or work.

What’s something you like to do in your spare time?

David: I love throwing frisbee with our dog Birdie and exploring nature with my lovely wife Angel.

Favorite thing to do in Chattanooga?

David: I love to see live music in Chattanooga (Fun Fact: I’ve seen over 300 different live music acts!) and view sunsets from one of our bridges or mountain tops.

Favorite item on the menu?

David: Easy. The Tennessee Pound Cake is the best!
