Puckett’s Columbia & Puckett’s Boat House Will Donate Daily Proceeds to Three Local Organizations

Puckett's spirit

‘Tis the season y’all, and Puckett’s is feeling the love!

Puckett’s Gro. in downtown Columbia and Puckett’s Boat House in downtown Franklin recently launched their “Community Tuesday” initiatives, a three-part series that donates 10 percent of both restaurant’s daily sales on Dec. 3, 10 and 17 to local organizations.

Through hearty appetites at Puckett’s Boat House, the public supported the Harpeth River Watershed Association on Tuesday, Dec. 3. The remaining  “Community Tuesday” proceeds will go to GraceWorks Ministries on Tuesday, Dec. 10, and New Hope Academy on Tuesday, Dec. 17. This is the second year the Boat House has coordinated the philanthropic effort.

{pssssst: Also in December, the Boat House will be encouraging friends to donate dollars to its ceiling as part of our “Puckett’s Dollar For Your Thoughts” initiative. Since February, the restaurant has allowed guests to stick dollar bills—with their own custom messages—to our low-ceiling beams. At the end of the month, all of the money pinned will be counted and donated to The Heritage Foundation of Franklin & Williamson County!}

At Puckett’s Gro. in downtown Columbia, the public supported the Family Center of Columbia on Tuesday, Dec. 3. The remaining  “Community Tuesday” proceeds will go to Columbia Central’s Project Graduation on Tuesday, Dec. 10, and The Boys and Girls Club of Maury County on Tuesday, Dec. 17. Because we opened in March 2013, this is the first time we’ve been able to do something like this — and our family is more than excited to share in the giving season!

Here’s what our owner, Andy, has to say about it: “We’ve wanted to host something like this since we opened, and the holidays are a nice tie-in. We’re sharing the love between these three because we connect with each of their individual visions, and we believe our customers do too. The fact that there are so many admired organizations with respected causes in Maury County shows the kind of heart this community has.”

So come out Tuesdays in December to support local! For more information on the events, check out the Boat House Facebook page HERE, or Columbia’s Facebook page HERE.
