We’re honored to be able to serve so many first responders at Puckett’s! To celebrate all of their hard work, we’re hosting a “First Responders Family Meal” from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 24th at our Chattanooga location. Our hopes are that this meal will allow those who will be on duty for Christmas Day the opportunity to celebrate the holiday with their loved ones.
All first responders and their families are invited to attend the special meal, which features a buffet of holiday favorites like smoked ham and turkey, cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy and peach cobbler.
Foster Yates, manager at Puckett’s Chattanooga, said that the restaurant serves local firefighters, EMTs, police officers and sheriff’s deputies on a regular basis and the staff members have gotten to know them well.
“We’re thankful for our first responders and the sacrifices they make daily to keep our community safe, ” Yates said. “We realize that these folks are not always able to enjoy the holiday season with their families due to work obligations, so we wanted to do something special for them this year.”
The cost for the meal is $13.99 for adults and $6.99 for children 12 and under. First responders who present their badges, proper IDs or come in uniform will receive their meal for half price ($7).
Puckett’s Chattanooga will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve, serving its regular menu, breakfast buffet from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and the holiday buffet from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The holiday buffet is open to the public as well as first responders, and reservations can be made by calling the restaurant at (423) 708-8505.
