Wine lovers, listen up! Puckett’s Boat House will hold the next session of its “Uncorked” wine tasting series on Tuesday, Sept. 27 from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m., and we’re setting out to prove that white wines aren’t just for summer sipping!

“Uncorked” is an interactive course designed to be informative and enjoyable for both wine connoisseurs and those with little to no knowledge on the topic. Participants will enjoy a pour of each of the month’s four featured wines with food pairings curated specially for each tasting by the Boat House executive chef, Donnie Counts, as they are guided through descriptions of the wines by certified sommelier and “Uncorked” leader, Keith Simpkins.

September’s theme of “Aromatic Whites” will give our guests an opportunity to explore tastings of lesser-known white wines: chenin blanc, falanghina, albariño and riesling; accompanied by raspberry goat cheese brie, assorted fruit and orange crème fraîche, fresh mussels, and bread pudding, respectively.

We encourage you to take notes throughout the evening and ask questions in a friendly and educational environment. After the class, the event’s presenting sponsor, Moon Wine & Spirits, will offer a coupon so those interested may purchase the wines tasted in the class.

Tickets are $30 per person, and seating is limited. More information can be found on the Boat House Facebook, and tickets are for sale here!
