Looking to enjoy a delicious meal and live music all while supporting a local cause? Head to Puckett’s Chattanooga on Thursday, Sept. 20 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for an evening benefiting The Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area. Guests can look forward to live music by Cody James Harris, guest speakers and a dinner special!
The event will be held in partnership with our friend Kelley Bradshaw, morning show host at WUSY US-101 and a participant in the upcoming “Dare to Dance” competition that serves as The Kidney Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year.
For our very own Foster Yates, General Manager at Puckett’s Chattanooga, this cause is near and dear to his heart. Foster received a kidney transplant in 2016 and has been a dedicated supporter of The Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area for several years.
“I’ve witnessed the incredible impact that this organization has in our community and the meaningful ways they’ve truly changed lives,” Yates said. “We want to invite people out to Puckett’s for an evening of celebration and awareness.”
The Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area is an independent foundation, meaning that it receives no funding from the National Kidney Foundation. Its mission is to provide support and information to those diagnosed with kidney disease, as well as their families.
Heather Melton, Executive Director for the Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area, can’t recall a time that anyone was turned away in her nine years with the organization due to a lack of funding, which is why fundraisers like the one being held at Puckett’s are crucial.
“What people don’t realize is that kidney disease not only impacts the lives of those diagnosed, but it tremendously changes the lives of those who love and care for them as well,” Melton said. “We’re excited to partner with Puckett’s and get the community involved with our mission.”
As part of our efforts to support The Kidney Foundation, the Chattanooga team has crafted a cherry wood-smoked brisket lasagna dish, putting a signature Southern twist on a classic favorite. From now through the 20th, $1 from each dish sold will go directly to the foundation. A portion of sales from dinner that evening will also go toward the organization.
Reservations can be made by giving us a call at (423) 708-8505! The Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga Area’s ‘Dare to Dance’ will be held October 27th.
