Tom Zazzetti Named ‘Restaurant Manager of the Year’ by GNHA

Tom Zazetti (1)

Hip hip hooray! Tom Zazzetti, general manager at our Franklin location, was named by the Greater Nashville Hospitality Association (GNHA) as Restaurant Manager of the Year at the Stars of the Industry Awards luncheon held July 30. The Stars of the Industry Awards are presented to individuals, companies and industry partners whose commitment to hospitality and tourism has improved the overall industry in Greater Nashville

An industry veteran with more than three decades of experience in restaurant management, Tom has served as Franklin’s general manager for more than three years after making the move from Chicago for the position.

“I’m very appreciative and humbled to have received this award, and I could not have have achieved this without the support of my Franklin team,” Tom said, “I love bringing the community together with great food and music, and I look forward to everything that this company and this restaurant have in store.”

Claire Crowell, COO of A. Marshall Hospitality, says that the team was searching for a leader with a servant’s heart and a zeal for community to take on the role, and they found it in Tom.

“What impressed us about Tom is that he’s worked for only two independent restaurants for almost 24 years in Chicago—one for 11 years and the other for 13 years. He believes in investing in his place of work and in his respective neighborhood,” Claire said.  “That sort of dedication is important to our company and an integral part of our overall philosophy.”

On a daily basis, Tom manages the busy downtown restaurant’s 80 employees and the full scale of its operations. In addition, he immediately made it a priority to get the restaurant involved with local organizations and community events, like Williamson County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).

“Tom has taken ownership of Puckett’s Franklin and treats it like his own,” said Crowell. “He’s beloved by his employees, customers and the community alike, and the entire A. Marshall Hospitality team feels fortunate to have him on board.”

When he’s not working in the restaurant, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife of 25 years, Amy, and his two daughters, Haley and Brooklyn.

Tom will automatically be nominated for the Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association awards, which will be announced at a gala in the fall. To learn more about the local and statewide hospitality associations, visit www.gnha.net and www.tnhta.net.

We’re so proud to work with you, Tom!
